For any questions about riding next weekend please email me at jimmy@flatrockranch.net Sweet & Twisted DU REGISTRATION INFORMATION Sunday –The main event! Two courses off-road Duathlon, certified by USAT. Prepare to get dirty and have a great time! Pre- race breakfast available, post race party is a must! Bring the family but leave the pooch at home! Memorial Day Weekend Gut-n-Glory This is the 7th year (8th year in time) for this fun and inexpensive grassroots event. The 12 hour 'Ride' will be held SUNDAY MAY 24th 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. We'll also have one of our famous Rubber Chicken Roundups on Saturday, May 23rd 10am with a wiener roast afterward. It's $15 per person over 12 years for the whole weekend. Fee includes 3 nights camping, land-use, and participation in all events. The weekend starts Friday afternoon and ends Monday afternoon. $10 per person for Sunday only. We'll have a cash payout for the top solo male rider and top solo female rider in the 12 hour event, with a raffle for everyone else. This event is designed to offer something for everyone. Folks interested in strong competition come out and ride for 12 hours on a 26+ mile course that's one of the most challenging endurance courses you'll find. We could not bear to cut out sections of the course to make a shorter single loop, so we will do the whole 26 mile enchilada, but we will count separate loops, Lower and then Upper. Folks not so interested in competition can come out, enjoy the trail at their own pace and spend the rest of the time enjoying the camping and beer. This is a very family friendly event - all ages are welcome. STORM Hill Country Challenge Yeti Demo with Anthony Sloan 2009 Upside Down DU This is a flipped version of our very successful Sweet & Twisted Du at Flat Rock Ranch. Two days of events, two challenging Duathlon courses with a MTN Bike/Trail Run/MTN Bike format. Also, we are adding a kid's crit and a King of the Hill battle on Saturday. Proceeds from this event benefits Bikes For Kids (more info coming very soon). Miles of Dis-Comfort Marathon New Year’s Day Ride 2nd Annual Sanctioned Rubber Chicken Round-Up Ride We will be placing nine rubber chickens at strategic locations around the ranch. Each rubber chicken will be numbered from 1 to 9 representing cash or swag. Ride starts at 9:00 am. Only one chicken prize will be given per winner. If you find more than one, you better have a buddy to give it to! No preference will be given to direction of ride or which loop. If your strategy is to find a chicken, anything goes. Ride the lower loop forward or backwards. If you have the knowledge, ride a jeep road to the middle and pick up the trail there. The fastest riders may not be the ones to find a chicken, or then again maybe they will! Yeti Demo with Anthony Sloan Anthony Sloan with the Yeti Cycles Demo Program will be at Flat Rock Ranch Saturday October 18th from 9-2. He will have a variety of bikes to ride, AS-R and AS-R Carbons for the XC crowd. 575s for the All Mountain/Trail market and our new AS-R 7 as well, which is a 7" travel all mountain bike. And he'll have the new downhill bike on board as well.
